Reimagining Luxury Accommodation for Hotels, Estates and Startups

Hospitality cabins for hotels, estates and startups.

The traditional hotel room is undergoing a transformation, and Koto is at the forefront of this change with their design-led and sustainable cabins. Whether you are looking to buy off the shelf or commission your own exclusive designs, Koto provides a seamless blend of luxury and simplicity, offering clients and guests contemporary retreats that feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The clean lines, sculptural forms and understated elegance of Koto’s architecturally designed cabins are a stark contrast to the often tired decor and outdated furnishings of typical hotel rooms. In essence, our hotel cabins embody slow, quiet luxury. Guests can enjoy inspiring and intimate spaces with vast glazing, complete with cosy bedrooms, private bathrooms, and state-of-the-art finishes.

Koto’s modular-built cabins are particularly desirable for hotels and estates due to the modules being fully assembled away from site. This turnkey aspect of the builds eliminates the need for time-consuming construction and disruption to ongoing hotel stays and important events.

“‘Koto’ is a Finnish word meaning ‘cosy at home.’ And that's exactly what we're striving for with our line of prefabricated hotel cabins - homes away from home that are design-led, high-quality and truly sustainable.” - Johnathon Little - Co-Founder

Muutama.

Off-the-shelf prefabricated cabins that are available for single purchase and for multiple roll-out, such as our striking Muutama, are ideal for existing hotels and tourism ventures who are looking to expand their accommodation capacity. Offering open floor spaces, high ceilings, and large facade openings, the consciously designed cabins produce a free-flowing environment connected to the outside world.

The Muutama cabin ensures optimum comfort and ease of use, whilst providing guests with a unique experience of retreating in a design-led space. As architects, we are passionate about delivering the highest quality finishes, fixtures, fittings, and furnishings to create a luxurious space for the user.

Heya.

We will soon introduce our brand new off-the-shelf product: the Heya cabin. Heya will be the latest addition to Koto's portfolio of homes and cabins, and it has been specifically designed with the hospitality industry in mind.

Built with Koto's renowned charred timber cladding, the cabin features high ceilings with a skylight which maximises natural light, creating an airy and inviting space. The cabin comfortably fits a King size bed, a separate shower room and has inbuilt storage.

Each Heya cabin comes with its own decking and private outdoor bath area, encouraging guests to truly relax and immerse themselves in nature.

Our Scandinavian-inspired cabins are designed to be highly energy efficient, which can dramatically help with savings on heating and cooling costs. And thanks to their modular design, Koto cabins can be customised to fit the specific needs of any hotel, estate, or start-up in tourism.

We understand that every hotel or new tourism concept is unique and has its own individual style. That's why we offer a bespoke interior design and furniture pack service through our sister company, Koto Living. Koto Living’s team of experienced designers will work with you to create a customised interior design that perfectly reflects both Koto’s signature style and the atmosphere that you want to create for your guests.

About Koto.

Modular Architecture - Sustainable by necessity.

Koto delivers beautifully crafted, architect designed, energy neutral homes and cabins. All our buildings are produced to the very highest standards and delivered whole and complete directly to your site. Every Koto home has been crafted with the utmost respect for both our environment and the people we work with. The Koto studio co-founded by Zoe, Johnathon and Theo design modular houses, cabins and sculptural small buildings, with each one drawing inspiration from Scandinavian design and culture. Co-founders, Johnathon and Zoë Little, returned from living on the shores of Norway’s fjords with a deep appreciation of the local aesthetic and environment. As the brand progressed, Koto began looking further east to the minimalist world of Japanese design and their focus on social functionality. This is something that has always fascinated co-founder and architect Theo Dales. Koto shares their emphasis on clean and simple details that provide a sense of calm. This exploration has helped Koto’s designs evolve into the carefully-considered works they are today.

“As both designers and parents, we recognise the dynamic relationship between nature, quality design and one of life’s great luxuries – spending time with friends and family. Each and every Koto home embodies this ethos.”
Zoe Little - Co-Founder Koto.
