A Luxury Retreat in the Wild East of England

‘A place of incredible natural beauty.’

Set in one thousand acres of unspoilt land on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, Fritton Lake is a private holiday club that offers a beautiful lakeside setting. Design-led sustainable cabins created by Koto, outdoor sport & recreation amongst wildlife, and locally-sourced delicious food form part of a pioneering eco-restoration project to help improve biodiversity.

A component of the impressive Somerleyton Estate, Fritton Lake provides a tranquil haven tucked away from hectic urban life for guests and wildlife alike. For those looking to unwind and indulge in nature, Fritton Lake is the ultimate family and couples retreat.

Luxury sustainable cabins in a woodland setting.

Architecturally designed by Koto, the cabin retreats at Fritton Lake are far from your standard countryside lodges: Scandinavian-inspired exteriors meet serene Japanese interior minimalism, each blending effortlessly into their magical woodland surroundings.

The luxury cabins at Fritton Lake are open for both private ownership, and holiday guests in search of a sustainable yet equally stylish staycation. Through Koto Living’s bespoke interior design services, kitchen finishes, bathrooms, room layouts and colours, furniture and finishings are curated in the design process so that cabin owners can apply their own personal touch to their home away from home.

The landscape around Fritton Lake is varied with plots available in the open meadowland around the main facilities, as well as in the mature woods cast further afield, so you can choose the area that suits you best.

Ki.

Our Ki cabin, exclusive to Fritton Lake, has been sensitively designed with one vast open facade, framing stunning views overlooking the two-mile long lake.

With open-plan living, dining and kitchen space, the Ki creates a sociable and inspiring environment for its users. Light drenched areas exude calm and serenity, allowing nature's scenery to take centre stage. King size beds fit comfortably in both two and three bedroom variations of the Ki ensuring you feel relaxed and recharged with each stay at Fritton Lake.

Miru.

Miru, also exclusive to Fritton Lake, adapts with ease to the change of seasons; in summer months the windows and doors open out and daily life spills into the surrounding nature. In colder months, the exceptional eco-efficiency of the building embraces its users to cosy-up in its modern Scandi-warmth.

Available in two and three bedroom variations, the Miru cabin offers spacious living accommodation equipped with two bathrooms; one ensuite to the master bedroom with the option to facilitate a large freestanding bath or shower/wet room.

Floating off-grid sauna.

On the lake, guests can pursue water activities such as stand-up paddle boarding and wild swimming. For some extra adventure and opulence, we have recently installed a floating wood-fired Koto sauna, situated at the end of a wooden pier leading out to the lake.

Designed to withstand harsh weather, the timber-clad floating sauna provides shelter, warmth, and an opportunity for guests to fully immerse in nature.
